Acoustic curtains as a tribute to "Café Samt & Seide" from the 1920s
Project data
The straight and curved acoustic curtains in the library of the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration are reminiscent of the world-famous "Café Samt & Seide", which was designed by Lilly Reich and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1927. The sound curtains create flexible and acoustically separated quiet zones:
- Three 5-layer OFFICE sound curtains in wave look.
- Outer layer made of SATIN CS contract fabric; in the color signal white.
- Installation of the TRUMPF 95 OFFICE track system on a suspended ceiling made of white metal grid elements.
