Pomocí horního vedení kabelů lze realizovat zakřivené a rovné dráhy libovolné délky. Kabelové vedení je umístěno nad kolejnicí, takže nehrozí, že by se tažné lano prohnulo. Toto kabelové vedení se používá v případě potřeby zakřivených nebo velmi dlouhých instalací.
