ACOUSTICS AND ARCHITECTURE
"Bright rooms, variable acoustics, multi-purpose use" - not an infrequently heard requirement these days. Modern rooms are often characterised by large glass surfaces and a light-flooded ambience. However, this also results in longer reverberation times, as the hard glass surfaces reflect the sound waves and amplify the reverberation in the room.
Over the past decades, we have had the pleasure of working with many renowned studios and architects, such as Herzog & De Meuron, SANAA, Foster + Partners, Coop Himmelb(l)au and Rem Koolhaas. Renowned textile designers and artists such as Petra Blaisse (Inside Outside) and Pae White also rely on us as a partner for the realisation of complex architectural projects.
We usually take care of both the design curtains in our factory and the technical realisation of the track systems and substructures.
G-MESH
Metal curtains as a special highlight
For special architectural highlights and special room installations, the ring and scale meshes of the G-MESH product family are an exciting alternative to classic textiles.
The metal curtains made of stainless steel, bronze, brass or aluminium offer an exciting interplay of colours and light in addition to their semi-transparent appearance. The metal curtains are also ideal for outdoor use due to their weather resistance.

Jewellery curtains
Design meets manufacture
In the classical sense, a decorative curtain is an elaborately decorated, embroidered, painted or bordered main curtain in a theatre or opera house. Over time, processing methods such as digital printing or laser cutting have been added.
The high-quality, elaborately hand-made decorative curtains from Gerriets now adorn not only cultural buildings such as the opera house in Oslo or the Semperoper in Dresden, but also architectural gems such as the National Library in Qatar or the new headquarters of Axel Springer SE in Berlin.

- Individually handmade decorative curtains
- Decades of experience in finishing textiles
- Can be used as the main curtain in a theatre or as an individual room sculpture
- A wide variety of processing techniques such as embroidery, printing, knotting or gilding
Rail systems

Textiles only become a complete curtain system with the right hanging system. The wide range of Gerriets curtain tracks is the perfect complement to our acoustic textiles and soundproofing curtains, especially for sophisticated architectural solutions.
The track systems can be operated both manually and by motor and are extremely low-maintenance, quiet and flexible.
