ROLL-UP SCREEN MEGASCREEN

Very large projection surfaces can be realized with the mechanics of the MEGASCREEN with only a small space requirement.

Due to the modified connection system and a smaller diameter of the carbon tube (150 mm) compared to the MEGASCREEN TOUR, formats with tube lengths of up to 24.0 m and hanging heights of up to 15.0 m can be realized with the MEGASCREEN.

The carbon tube winds the curtain up and down and is located at the lower end of the screen when unrolled. In contrast to all other systems, this concept offers a clear advantage - optimum flatness even with non-fabric-reinforced projection screens.

Designed for front and rear projection.

Lateral steel strap bobbin winding unit made of carrying and safety strap
Drive with handwheel, double brake and geared limit switch

Installation

  1. Mechanical length compensation for the safety belt.
  2. The drive, equipped with handwheel and double brake, is mounted in the middle of the crossbeam structure as standard.
  3. Operating and emergency limit switch in accordance with GUV regulation 17 and DIN 56950-1.
  4. Optionally with incremental encoder for freely programmable setting of the operating ends and the three intermediate positions. Maximum safety and high precision thanks to form-fit connection of geared limit switch and incremental encoder.
  5. The individual tubular modules are joined together with connecting sleeves.
  6. Permanently connected tubular modules.
  7. Aluminum sleeve for connecting the carbon tube to the drive and bearing unit.

Technical data

  • Motor 3 x 230 / 400 VAC with double brake.
  • Infinitely variable lifting speeds from approx. 0.1 to approx. 0.3 m/s.
  • The motor can be mounted in three positions, each offset by 90°, even retrospectively (Fig. 1).
  • Screen dimensions: up to 23.9 x 15.0 m (w x h). Special formats on request.
  • The carbon tube winds the curtain up and down and is located at the lower end of the screen when unrolled.
  • In contrast to all other systems, this concept offers a clear advantage - optimum flatness even with non-fabric-reinforced projection screens.

See the drawing below:

  • At least four suspensions per system. From 14.0 m, additional suspensions depending on the hanging material.

Technical specifications

To the table below:

  • The maximum curtain weight for all widths is 102 kg.
  • Systems with tube lengths of more than 24.0 m are available as custom-made products.

! Please contact us for suitable hangings.

  • Total weight corresponds to the cumulative weights of: Tubular modules, traverse construction, traverse attachment and motor without connection cable (9 kg), control unit (18 kg) and hanging.

Scope of delivery

  1. CFRP tubes Ø 150 mm with connecting sleeves.
  2. Dismountable traverse system with motor mount, drive shaft and shaft bearings.
  3. Drive unit with shaft couplings and limit switch.
  4. Power and control cable, pluggable, 25.0 m long (optionally available up to 50.0 m long).
  5. Suspensions for mounting on on-site construction. Number of suspensions depends on the length of the system (but at least four). Truss attachment with three half couplers; load capacity 750 kg each; for tubes with a diameter of 50 mm; with attachment point.
  6. Connecting parts and winding mechanism for support and safety straps.
  7. Two end bearings with winding mechanism and strap length compensation.
  8. G-FRAME 54 control unit with UP and DOWN functions. Infinitely variable speed preselection via a rotary potentiometer.
  9. Assembly and operating instructions.
