Uz gornje vođenje užeta mogu se realizirati zakrivljeni i ravni putovi tračnica bilo koje duljine. Vođenje užeta odvija se iznad tračnice, čime se eliminira opasnost od progiba užeta. Ovaj način vođenja užeta primjenjuje se kada se žele zakrivljeni ili vrlo dugi sustavi.
