The CARGO heavy-duty rail system from Gerriets is available in S / M / L and XL versions. The profile is manufactured from a high-quality aluminium alloy using an extrusion process. Thanks to the extremely low rolling resistance of 0.8%, two LED panels with a total load of 2.4 t can be moved horizontally very easily with a tensile force of just 80 kg in theatre, studio and event environments, for example.

The Gerriets heavy-duty rail system is characterised by its high load-bearing capacity, even with large spans. Due to the box-shaped structure, all CARGO profiles are extremely rigid. Due to the low deformation, the horizontal forces required to move loads also remain very low.

A wide range of different trolleys made of aluminium and plastic as well as numerous attachments illustrate the versatility of the CARGO system. The trolley channels are the same for all profiles. This means that all trolleys and the extensive range of accessories can be used for CARGO S / M / L and XL.

Possible applications

  • CARGO is not only used as a heavy-duty rail and for LED panels, but also as a flexible load bar.
  • With the Gerriets spotlight trolley, studio equipment such as spotlights or monitor speakers can be easily attached to the load bar and moved horizontally.
  • In the stage environment, CARGO can also be used as a spotlight railing on working galleries to position spotlights.

CARGO Powered Raceway

CARGO Powered Raceway is a compact and space-saving system integrated into the rails with plug-in panels made of plug-in devices (offsets) that can be individually configured according to customer requirements. The integration and cable routing takes place in the internal installation channel of the CARGO rails in sizes M, L and XL.

The supply line into the rail system can be designed variably and is implemented according to the customer's requirements as a supplement to the CARGO Powered Raceway using a fixed connection cable, multi-pin industrial connector, trailing/spring cable system, flat cable in cable basket or energy chain.

The design of the patch panels (number and spacing) is customised according to customer requirements. The connectors can be selected according to the CARGO Powered Raceway combination matrix. Special connectors on request. Due to their installation geometry, the connectors are directly related to the dimensions of the CARGO rail. The profile size is dimensioned according to the application and space requirements of the connectors.
