A felsővezeték-vezetővel bármilyen hosszúságú íves és egyenes sínpálya megvalósítható. A kábelvezető a sín fölött helyezkedik el, így nem áll fenn a húzókábel megereszkedésének veszélye. Ezt a kábelvezetőt akkor használják, ha íves vagy nagyon hosszú telepítésre van szükség.
