Supertitling software SUPERTITLE 1.1

The SUPERTITLE 1.1 software has been designed to display texts quickly and easily on the SUPERTITLE 2000/P4.81 surtitling system.

The display can be edited to meet the requirements of modern opera operations.

The following basic settings are freely selectable:

  • Font type (selectable from all fonts installed on the respective computer)
  • Standard font size
  • Standard number of lines (1 to 5)
  • Standard alignment (e.g. left-aligned or centred)
  • Standard brightness
  • Fade characteristic (type 'V' or 'X')
  • Standard fade time (in 0.1 second increments)
  • Standard light colour (selectable in the RGB colour field)
  • Two language versions can be displayed side by side
  • Password to protect the default basic setting

The SUPERTITLE 1.1 software is available as a free download and is only suitable for Windows-based PCs/notebooks. Individual performances can therefore be created and changed independently of the actual operating computer of the LED surtitling system.

The desired text can either be entered directly via the keyboard or transferred using an import.

The following formats are supported:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Import of existing files from other LED surtitling systems

Further display parameters

It is possible to freely select additional display parameters for each individual title. These can differ from the basic setting:

  • Brightness, colour, text font, text style and text size are also possible for individual text passages in the title (similar to Word)
  • Alignment of the text within the display
  • Fade characteristics and fade time

The SUPERTITLE 1.1 software also enables images to be displayed and videos to be played.

For example, logos or films can be presented before the show or during the breaks. All content is automatically scaled to the size of the display field.

Backup

The entire performance is saved in a file and can be stored externally for backup or edited offline at another workstation on which the SUPERTITLE 1.1 software is installed.

Display of the individual tracks as they are shown on the screen one after the other. The active track, which can also be seen above the stage, is highlighted in green and is also displayed in the preview window.

Export

A presentation can in turn be exported to a Word document. Two export versions are available:

  1. Export of the plain text:

The breaks are copied and the individual titles are transferred in paragraphs.

  1. Export of the plain text:

The breaks are transferred and the individual titles are transferred in paragraphs, including the labels that have been defined for an event.

This version is particularly suitable for printing in order to enter handwritten corrections during rehearsals.

DMX

The software has an input for the DMX 512 standard via ArtNet.

This allows the following display functions to be controlled via a lighting console:

  • Brightness
  • Colour via RGB mixing (colour and brightness values stored in SUPERTITLE 1.1 are overwritten);
  • Display OFF / panic button
  • Move forwards or backwards within the titles

Control Box

The following functions of the Control Box can be found here:

  • Forward arrow button: next track
  • Back arrow button: previous track
  • Panic button: to switch off the output immediately
  • Label input field
  • Index input: for an index number and the Goto Index button, with which the display jumps directly to the corresponding title
