ROLLING SCREEN MEGASCREEN TOUR

Very large formats with tube lengths of up to 30.0 m and hanging heights of up to 15.0 m can be achieved using the special bottom roller winding mechanism, in which the winding shaft itself is lowered downwards and the fabric is tightened by the weight of the winding shaft lying at the bottom.

The diameter of the carbon tube of the MEGASCREEN TOUR is 247 mm. As the roll-up screen system is primarily used for large mobile formats, the tubes are connected with a specially developed fastening system and can be dismantled. The crossbar and the structure anchored in it can also be split.

The system must be suspended from at least four points, as it is divided by the drive and therefore does not represent a self-contained, load-bearing unit.

Designed for front and rear projection.

Lateral steel strap bobbin winding unit made of carrying and safety strap
Drive with handwheel, double brake and geared limit switch

Installation

  1. The perfectly harmonised mechanism ensures that the projection surface unwinds evenly.
  2. The system, which consists of several functional units, can be dismantled for transport and storage reasons.
  3. The system must be suspended from at least four points as it is divided by the drive and is therefore not a self-contained, load-bearing unit.
  4. The drive, which is equipped with a handwheel and double brake, is mounted in the centre of the truss structure as standard.
  5. Operating and emergency limit switch in accordance with GUV regulation 17 and DIN 56950-1.
  6. Optionally with incremental encoder for freely programmable setting of the operating ends and the three intermediate positions. Maximum safety and high precision thanks to form-fit connection of geared limit switch and incremental encoder.

Technical data

  • Motor 3 x 230 / 400 VAC with double brake.
  • Infinitely variable lifting speeds from approx. 0.1 to approx. 0.4 m/s.
  • The motor can be mounted in three positions, each offset by 90°, even retrospectively (Fig. 1).
  • Screen dimensions: up to 29.9 x 15.0 m (w x h), special formats on request.
  • The same carbon tube is used as for the TUBE system. This tube is held by four steel belts (two support and drive belts and two travelling catch belts).
  • The carbon tube winds the curtain up and down and is located at the lower end of the screen when unrolled.
  • The tube modules are available in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 metres as well as in special lengths on request.
  • This system enables good flatness even with non-fabric-reinforced projection screens.

See the drawing below:

  • At least four suspensions per system. From 14.0 m, additional suspensions depending on the hanging material.
Using the example of the 2.2 kW motor / * Minimum installation dimensions

Technical data

To the table below:

  • The maximum curtain weight for all widths is 126 kg.

! Please contact us for suitable hangings.

  • Total weight corresponds to the cumulative weights of: Tubular modules, traverse construction, traverse fastening and motor without connection cable (9 kg), control unit (18 kg) and blind.

Scope of delivery

  1. CFRP tubes Ø 247 mm with mounting joints in the carbon tube and corresponding locking clips. For a breakdown of the tubes with standard lengths, see table. Special lengths can also be supplied at an extra charge.
  2. Dismountable traverse system with motor mount, drive shaft and shaft bearings.
  3. Removable drive unit with shaft couplings and limit switch.
  4. Power and control cable, pluggable, 25.0 m long (extension up to 50.0 m is possible).
  5. Suspension for mounting on on-site construction. Number of suspensions depends on the length of the system (but at least four). Truss attachment with three half couplers; load capacity 750 kg each; for tubes with a diameter of 50 mm; with attachment point.
  6. Connecting parts and winding mechanism for support and safety straps.
  7. Two end bearings with winding mechanism and belt length compensation.
  8. G-FRAME 54 control unit with UP and DOWN functions. Infinitely variable speed preselection via a rotary potentiometer.
  9. Assembly and operating instructions.
