ROLL UP SCREEN TUBE

The TUBE screen system is designed as a mobile top roller screen system for large formats with tube lengths of up to 12.0 metres and hanging heights of up to 9.0 metres. The winding shaft is located at the top end of the screen.

The system can be mounted with four half couplers, each with a load capacity of 750 kg, either on load bars or, as standard, on the main chords of 290, 400 or 500 mm trusses.

For mobile, safe use on stage and in the touring area, TUBE can be installed in a truss frame that is open at the bottom.

For fixed installation, we recommend a fabric-reinforced projection screen surface, for example ARCTIC. For laser projections, a tapestry tulle is suitable as a textile hanging.

Intended for front projection.

Installation

  1. The selected blind is attached directly to the carbon tube on site using adhesive tape.
  2. The carbon tube is mounted on both sides with end pieces on flange bearings. The TUBE is suspended as standard using four half couplers. These standard half couplers are suitable for tubes with a diameter of 50 mm and have a load capacity of 750 kg. They can be mounted on load bars or, as standard, on the main chords of 290, 400 or 500 mm trusses. Other suspensions can be adapted on request. TUBE can therefore be mounted on machine hoists, trusses or directly on ceilings.
  3. The drive unit with handwheel and double brake is flange-mounted complete with axle and end piece to one end of a tubular module.
  4. As standard with incremental encoder for freely programmable adjustment of the operating ends and the three intermediate positions. Maximum safety and high precision thanks to the positive connection of the geared limit switch and incremental encoder.
  5. Emergency limit switch in accordance with GUV regulation 17 and DIN 56950-1.
  6. Power supply and control cable with solid multipin connectors.
  7. For mobile, safe use in the stage area, TUBE can be installed in a traverse frame that is open at the bottom.

Technical data

  • Motor 3 x 230 / 400 VAC, with double brake.
  • Infinitely variable lifting speeds from approx. 0.2 to approx. 0.9 m/s.
  • The motor can be mounted in three different positions, each offset by 90°, even retrospectively (Fig. 1).
  • Screen dimensions: from 2.9 x 3.0 m to 11.9 x 9.0 m (w x h). Special formats on request.
  • The aluminium weighting tube to be screwed (dimensions Ø 50 x 3 mm) weighs approx. 1.3 kg/m.
  • All tube modules are made of high-strength CFRP and are available in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 m as well as in special lengths on request.
  • The motor can also be replaced without dismantling the projection surface.
  • Handwheel for manual drive settings and emergencies.

Technical data

See the table below:

  • Systems with pipe lengths of more than 12.0 m can be customised.

! Please contact us for suitable hangings.

  • Total weight corresponds to the cumulative weights of: Tube modules, half coupler, end pieces, motor and weighting tube without connection cable (9 kg), control unit (18 kg) and blind.

Scope of delivery

  1. CFRP tubes Ø 247 mm with assembly joints on both sides and corresponding locking clips. For a breakdown of the tubes with standard lengths, see table. Special lengths can also be supplied at an extra charge.
  2. Motor-side end piece with bearing support.
  3. Counter bearing end piece with bearing holder.
  4. Removable drive unit with limit switch and incremental encoder.
  5. Power and control cable, pluggable, 25.0 m long (extension up to 50.0 m possible).
  6. Two half couplers on both sides for pipes with a diameter of 50 mm, can be mounted lengthways and crossways.
  7. G-FRAME 54 control unit with UP and DOWN functions, three programmable intermediate positions and DMX interface. Infinitely variable speed preselection via a rotary potentiometer.
  8. Aluminium weighting tube, to be screwed on, Ø 50 x 3 mm, approx. 1.3 kg/m.
  9. Assembly and operating instructions.

Note: The maximum hanging weight takes the weighting tube into account.
