Conceived as a place for culture and science, for exchange, debates of experience and encounters, the Humboldt Forum presents outstanding collections and a diverse program. Gerriets was able to contribute to two exhibition areas with its projection screens and the well-known, reliable Gerriets technology.

In the so-called "Humboldt Laboratory", an extraordinary projection screen curtain with precisely coordinated folds and openings was installed on behalf of INSIDE OUTSIDE from Amsterdam. An elaborate, interactive soft-edge projection of a school of fish is projected onto this "projection foil curtain", showing the influence of humans on all ecosystems, the earth's atmosphere and even the deep geological layers of the planet. Two other smaller projection films made of OPERA® HELLBLAU were used in the rest of the exhibition, one of which was also digitally printed.

For the permanent exhibition in the entrance area of the Humboldt Forum, Gerriets was commissioned by the company digitech from Patersdorf to supply a panoramic screen in addition to a large roller screen, which was mounted on a complex steel construction, freely suspended at a distance of 1.20 m from the wall behind it. GAMMALUX® MICRO was used as the projection screen, which allows a loudspeaker system to be positioned behind the projection surface thanks to its acoustic transparency. The panoramic screen shows a collage of the 800-year history of the buildings that once stood on the site of the Humboldt Forum, their uses and the most important events that took place there.
